Maharashtra, the team captained by Rituraj Gaikwad, has made it to the semi-finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. It defeated Punjab by 70 runs in the third quarter-final. In this match, Arshin Kulkarni batted strongly for Maharashtra and scored a century. Nikhil Nayak scored an unbeaten half-century. Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma could not do anything special in this match. Anmolpreet Singh played an inning of 48 runs for the team.

Batting first, Maharashtra set a target of 275 runs for Punjab. During this time, Rituraj and Arshin came to open for the team. Ruturaj was out after scoring 5 runs. After this Siddhesh Veer came to bat. He was also out. But after this there was a good partnership between Ankit and Arshin. Ankit scored 60 runs with the help of 7 fours.
