The police has arrested the accused who committed theft in the residence of famous Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon in Mumbai’s Khar. The accused has been identified as 37-year-old Sameer Ansari. Mumbai Police said that painter Sameer Ansari (37) has been arrested for stealing a diamond necklace, Rs 35,000 in cash and US dollars from actress Poonam Dhillon’s house in Khar. Ansari, who had come for painting work, stole valuables from an open cupboard and confessed to his crime during police interrogation.

Police investigation has revealed that accused Ansari was at the actress’s house between December 28 and January 5 to paint the flat. During this time, he took advantage of the open cupboard to steal valuables. Ansari saw an open cupboard and took advantage of the opportunity to steal. The accused also had a party with some of the stolen money. Accused Ansari was called by the police and when interrogated, the accused confessed to his crime.
