Another excellent effort of the administration for the betterment of the future of blind children.

The advanced form of Braille script is “Any Device”

Raipur,

At present, new technologies and equipment are being incorporated in the field of education with the aim of connecting disabled students with the modern education system and making them self-reliant. So that a new direction can be given to the educational development of disabled children. And we all know that through Braille script, visually impaired people can gain the ability to read and write. Residential school “Saksham” is being run in Javanga under Geedam development block of South Bastar Dantewada district. This is the first such institute in Chhattisgarh where training is given by trained teachers through state-of-the-art machines, keeping in mind the needs of disabled children.

Presently 94 girls and 90 boys of various disabled categories are studying here, out of which 16 girls and 12 boys are in visually impaired category. In this institute, all measures are being taken to increase the self-confidence of the children along with all-round education. Here children complete their daily tasks easily. These children go to morning shift in normal schools like other children. They have special training classes in the afternoon where they are taught things according to their needs. Along with this, as per the efforts of the district administration, the inclusion of education and technology for blind children in Dantewada district is a commendable initiative.

In this sequence, the district administration has provided a special device “Any Device” to the visually impaired children in Saksham School. A revolutionary device for visually impaired children, it is a smart learning tool that helps children learn and read Braille script. Anyi device is specially designed for children who are unable to see. The device helps children recognize and write Braille letters through touch and audio features.

How does any device work?

Children touch braille letters on the device with their fingers. The device instantly plays the name of the letter and its sound in audio. It also has interactive games and quizzes, which provide a fun learning experience for children.

benefits for children

Children can easily learn Braille script with “Any Device”. Along with this, this device helps children to become self-reliant, making them less dependent on others in their studies. This new way of learning boosts children’s confidence and motivates them to reach new heights. This effort of the district administration is a big step towards improving the future of visually impaired children. From the establishment of Saksham Vidyalaya in 2013 to now upgrading of Braille script and use of “Any Device”, this effort is making a big difference in the lives of blind children. In this regard, teacher Mr. Amit Yadav, who is teaching the children, said that he has been teaching Braille script to the children since 2015, but now with the help of the district administration, we have got a new device. Earlier, we could write simultaneously in the Braille machine, but now with the help of any device, we can write simultaneously. Through this medium, children can study better and other types of facilities will be available, due to which children will be able to study better. Braille script is already a unique means of reading and writing for blind children. Now through this new technology, “Any Device,” children are experiencing not only studies but also games, songs and other digital features. This device is equipped with technology like “Voice Assistance”, which helps children to be self-reliant and connected to the modern education system. This step of Dantewada administration is an inspiration for those sections of the society who need special attention and support. It presents an excellent example of inclusivity and technological advancement in education.
