It is expected that the civic elections will be held in the month of May 2025. Today i.e. on January 7, the first process of reservation for civic elections was completed. But in view of the revision classes and the entire process before the board exams in the coming months, it will be difficult to have teachers available and keep the schools open. Anyway, city administrators have been appointed in all the municipal corporations for smooth functioning. So that all the work of the corporation is not affected. For all these reasons, elections can be held in the month of May.
Meenal Choubey is considered a strong contender for the mayor candidate from BJP in the municipal elections in Raipur. In fact, 5 mayor seats in 14 municipal corporations of the state will be reserved for women. A woman from general category will contest the mayor election in Raipur. It is being conducted in the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium located in the Science College campus of Raipur.
