The Council of Ministers gave in-principle approval to start Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the Ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers has given in-principle approval to start Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission to bring youth-oriented activities on a single platform in a coordinated manner with the aim of overall socio-economic development of the youth of the state.

It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Independence Day 2024, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had announced to implement four missions in the state – Annadata (Farmers) Welfare, Yuva Shakti, Nari Shakti and Garib Kalyan. Keeping this in mind, Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission will create a partnership platform to coordinate youth orientation activities, thereby promoting the development of the state. The mission will be launched on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary on 12 January 2025 (Youth Day). The main objectives of the mission are to promote self-confidence building among the youth, preparation for competition, upgrading their skills and enhancing talent. The key components of the mission are communication, capability and prosperity.

Three main objectives of the mission have been set. The first goal is to target the income level of every youth equal to the rate of the minimum skilled category worker. Second goal – to make efforts to ensure that every youth completes education up to class 12th. This target will be achieved in class 10th by the year 2028 and in class 12th by the year 2030. The third goal is to make every youth a part of social initiatives in the interest of the society. 70 percent achievement will be achieved by the year 2030.

With the aim of making the cooperative system and Sanchi brand bigger under the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, the Council of Ministers has appointed M.P. The collaboration agreement between the State Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited and affiliated milk unions and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) was agreed upon. This decision has been taken to double the income of milk producers in Madhya Pradesh and promote milk production.

According to the collaboration agreement between the State Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited and the National Dairy Development Board, collection centers will be set up in every Gram Panchayat to ensure the purchase of milk and help in getting the right price. The processing capacity of milk unions will be increased. In this way, approximately Rs 1500 crore will be invested in the next 5 years. The number of milk committees will be increased from 6 thousand to 9 thousand. In this way milk collection will be increased from 10.50 lakh kilograms to 20 lakh kilograms. A target has been set to double the total annual income of milk producers from Rs 1700 crore to Rs 3500 crore. Sanchi brand will be more widely promoted and established at the national level.
