Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the ‘Bharatpol’ portal developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). On this occasion, Amit Shah also presented Police Medal to CBI officers and employees.
In his address at the launch of ‘Bharatpol’ portal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Today we have gathered here for the launch of ‘Bharatpol’. This is the beginning of a new era of international scrutiny of our country. With the structure of ‘Bharatpol’, every agency of India, every state police will be able to connect themselves with Interpol very easily and will be able to speed up the investigation.
Amit Shah further said that we all know that we are living in Amrit Kaal. The period from 75 years of independence to 100 years of independence has not only been described by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Amrit Kaal, but now the 140 crore people of the country have also accepted this period as Amrit Kaal.
The BJP leader said that 140 crore people of the country have resolved that in 2047, when the country will complete 100 years of independence, India will be at the first position in the world in every field and we will be leading the world in every field. If we have to fulfill this resolution then there are many stages in it. We have decided to make India the third largest economy in the world by 2027. From there, the first step will begin. We have 25 years for India to become a fully developed nation by 2047 and in a way it will be a golden opportunity for India.
Let us tell you that the purpose of this ‘Bharatpol Portal’ developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is to assist law enforcement agencies and international police in cyber and financial crimes, which will exchange information in real time.
Indeed, the Bharatpol portal will streamline the processing of all requests for international assistance through Interpol, including the issuance of Red Notices and other colour-coded Interpol notices.
Bharatpol portal can prove to be very effective in curbing international crimes including cyber crime, financial crime, online radicalization, organized crime, drug trafficking and human trafficking.
