Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate many projects in Andhra Pradesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of some important projects and inaugurate some others in Visakhapatnam today. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to the state after assuming the post of Prime Minister for the third consecutive time in the year 2024. In Andhra Pradesh, the alliance of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janasena has played an important role in forming the government at the Centre.

Chief Minister N. Along with Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and others, Modi will lay the foundation stone of the railway zone in Visakhapatnam. Similarly, he will lay the foundation stone of Integrated Green Hydrogen Center of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) at Pudimadaka in Nakkapalli mandal of Anakapalle district. Under this project, this public sector company will invest Rs 65,370 crore in three phases.
The Prime Minister will digitally launch the Krishnapatnam Industrial Centre, a Rs 1,518 crore project to be built on 2,500 acres of land in the first phase. This is expected to create employment opportunities for 50,000 people.

Similarly, Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Rs 1,877 crore ‘Bulk Drug Park’ at Nakkapalli through digital medium. With the aim of making the country self-reliant in the pharmaceutical sector, ‘Bulk Drug Park’ will be established. This ‘Bulk Drug Park’, to be built on 2,002 acres of land with an investment of about Rs 11,542 crore, is expected to provide employment to 54,000 people. Over 1.5 lakh people are expected to attend the Prime Minister’s public meeting at Andhra University Engineering College grounds in Visakhapatnam.

Apart from laying the foundation stone and the inauguration ceremony, Modi will also hold a road show from Sampath Vinayak Temple to the meeting venue at Andhra University. The state government is making elaborate arrangements to make Modi’s visit a success, while Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh recently visited Visakhapatnam to review the preparations.
