School holiday in Gwalior due to cold wave, time changed till 31st January

In view of the severe cold and cold wave in Gwalior, the district administration has declared holiday on January 6 for children from nursery to class eight. From January 7 to January 31, school timings have been changed from 10 am to 3 pm. This order will be applicable to all government and non-government schools, ICSE and CBSE schools.

Examinations as per pre-determined schedule
Collector Ruchika Chauhan directed District Education Officer Ajay Katiyar, after which this order was issued. The order also mentions that the examinations will continue as per the pre-determined schedule. Earlier, schools were closed till January 5 due to winter vacations.

Under this decision taken with the aim of protecting children from cold, the safety of children is being ensured by changing the timings of schools. The administration has instructed all schools to follow the order. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing cold and falling mercury in the district, so that children can be protected from the cold wave.
