Mukesh Chandrakar, a young journalist from Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, who exposed corruption worth Rs 120 crore in road construction, has been brutally murdered. Bastar division IG P Sundarraj has made a big revelation in the matter. IG told that two people together had murdered journalist Mukesh Chandrakar. Contractor’s Munshi Ramteke and his brother Ritesh Chandrakar had carried out the crime. Mukesh was attacked with a steel rod. An attempt was made to destroy the evidence after the incident. Suresh Chandrakar has been made the main accused in the case. Both the accused have been arrested. An 11-member SIT team has been formed to investigate the case.
Actually, Mukesh was missing since 7 pm on January 1. His body was found in the septic tank. His body was taken out from the septic tank built in the enclosure of the contractor and his relative Suresh Chandrakar.
‘Kingpin of murder is Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar’
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said on the murder case of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar that the police have detained Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chandrakar and Mahendra Ramteke, relatives of Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar, in the Mukesh Chandrakar murder case.
Taking immediate action, an 11-member SIT has been formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police IPS Mayank Gurjar to thoroughly investigate the matter. Four different teams are working in different directions to nab absconding Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar. We will try our best for speedy trial of the case. The mastermind of the murder is Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar, he is a Congress state official.
