The January 2 episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’ started with rollover contestant Sumit Yadav, who hails from Uttar Pradesh. Sumit was dreaming of coming to ‘KBC’ for 14 years and when it came true, there was no limit to his happiness. But he could not answer the question asked for the amount of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand. What was that question and its answer, we are telling here.
Before playing the game, Sumit Yadav told host Amitabh Bachchan that he could not sleep the whole night due to coming to the show. After this Amitabh started the game with Sumit.
Sumit used ‘Audience Poll’ lifeline for 80 thousand questions. When the question of Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand came, he got the power of ‘Dugnastra’ and won the bonus amount. Sumit said that with this money he will send his mother to Vaishno Devi.
Sumit Yadav reached the question of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand by using the lifelines given. Till this question he had two lifelines left. The question was – According to the Mahabharata, who among these provided Bhima with the drink that gave him the strength of a thousand elephants?
Sumit Yadav first used ‘Video Call a Friend’ lifeline. Then I kept thinking for a long time and used the last remaining lifeline, ‘double dip’. After this he first chose option B) Lord Varun and then changed to A) Goddess Ganga. But both the answers turned out to be wrong. In this way Sumit Yadav could win only Rs 3 lakh 20 thousand.
