After the incident of boat capsizing in the middle of the dam in Raigarh district, a situation of chaos was created on the spot. Somehow people’s lives were saved because of wearing life jackets, otherwise a major incident could have happened here on the first day of the New Year. The matter is of Kotra Road police station area.
According to the information received, there was a huge crowd of picnickers since morning on the occasion of New Year in Tipakhol Dam, located just 8 kilometers away from the district headquarters. Meanwhile, around 2 o’clock in the afternoon, a situation of chaos suddenly arose when a boat that was boating there capsized in deep water while turning back after reaching the middle of the dam. After this, there was screaming among the people in the boat. The fortunate thing was that everyone in the boat was wearing life jackets, due to which everyone’s life was saved. It is being told that a man living in Kirori Mal Nagar area had reached Tipakhol Dam with his wife and a daughter and while enjoying boating, this incident happened.
Fair like atmosphere in Tipakhol Dam
People who had come for picnic at Tipakhol Dam said that on the occasion of New Year, there was a fair like atmosphere here, apart from street vendors, ice cream shops were also set up here. Also, hundreds of people had come here on motorcycles and 15 to 20 cars for picnic.
A Bolero also overturned
While going for a picnic at Tipakhol Dam on the occasion of New Year, a Bolero overturned on the way. It is being told that about 4 people were traveling in this vehicle. Who are said to be residents of Khairpur. The people traveling in the vehicle suffered minor injuries in this incident.
Fear among people after the incident
On the occasion of New Year, after the incident of boat capsizing as well as Bolero capsizing in Tipakhol Dam, suddenly an atmosphere of fear was created among the people present there and then people gradually started migrating towards their homes.
