At least 11 people have been injured in a shooting at a nightclub in New York, America. This incident of firing took place late Wednesday night at Amejura Nightclub in the Queens area of New York. Police have said that there is a big nightclub near the Amejura Event Hall in Jamaica, which has a capacity of 4,000 people. There are often DJs and live performances here. People had gathered here on the occasion of New Year, during which firing was reported. Police and rescue workers have admitted all 11 injured to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
After the firing incident, several vehicles of the New York Police Department (NYPD) reached the spot and the area was surrounded. Police found several spent cartridges at 91 Avenue and 144 Place, creating another crime scene. The police closed the surrounding roads. Police have deployed special units to Amejura and Sutphin Blvd.
Police started investigating the case
According to a report by Citin, police have identified a white car that was involved in the shooting incident. The police is investigating the matter. Till now the police has not been able to find any concrete clue in this matter. Victims of the Queens nightclub shooting were taken to several hospitals, including Long Island Jewish Hospital and Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. The NYPD has confirmed that none of the victims are in critical condition and all are expected to survive.
The police have not arrested any suspects yet. Police are also investigating whether this incident is related to any gang war or there is some other reason behind it. Evidence found from the spot is being collected and CCTV footage is also being examined.
