Cold wave may prevail in some places in North Chhattisgarh from January 1. The weather is likely to remain dry for the next five days. There will be no significant change in the minimum temperature for the next 24 hours.

After this, there may be a gradual drop in the minimum temperature by six degrees in the next four days. Light to moderate rainfall was recorded at some places on Sunday. Maximum rainfall of 20 mm was recorded in Manendragarh Kotadol. The highest maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Durg in the state.

The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 12.6 degrees Celsius in Balrampur. The sky will be clear in Raipur city on Monday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 20 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively.

Possibility of less moisture in the air
By January 2, the minimum temperature in most areas of the state may fall by six to eight degrees Celsius. On the other hand, there is a possibility of decrease in the amount of moisture in the air. At present the humidity in the air has been recorded at 91 percent.
