Shri Modi said that the mascot of Bastar Olympics is the wild buffalo and the mountain myna – it reflects the rich culture of Bastar. The basic mantra of this Bastar Khel Mahakumbh is, ‘Karsay ta Bastar, Barsay ta Bastar’ i.e. Bastar will play, Bastar will win.
Praising Bastar Olympics-2024, Prime Minister Modi said that for the first time, 1 lakh 65 thousand players from 7 districts of Bastar division have participated in Bastar Olympics. This is not just a statistic but a proud story of the determination of the youth. Our youth have shown their talent in every sport like athletics, archery, badminton, football, hockey, weightlifting, karate, kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball.
