Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam was seen exchanging bails during the first Test match against South Africa on Friday. This trend has been increasing among players for some time now. To maintain the excitement in the match, players are seen doing tricks and some players are also successful in it. Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was also seen exchanging the bails in the ongoing series against Australia and his trick worked, because the opposition team lost the wicket soon after.
Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad started the trend of exchanging bails in Tests. In the ongoing test match between Pakistan and South Africa, Babar Azam also changed the bails but his trick did not work. South Africa bowled out Pakistan for 211 runs in the first innings on Thursday, the opening day of the first Test cricket match. Patterson, who took five wickets in the innings against Sri Lanka earlier this month, took five wickets for 61 runs while Bosch, playing his first Test match, took four wickets for 63 runs. Marco Janson also got a wicket as South Africa bowled out Pakistan’s first innings in 57.3 overs.
South Africa did not have a good start but at the time of writing, thanks to Aiden Markram’s 89 and Crobyn’s unbeaten 70 runs, South Africa has taken a lead of more than 70 runs. Captain Temba Bavuma scored 31 runs. David contributed 30 runs.
