In MP, school children have got ample holidays to bid farewell to the past year and celebrate the welcome of the new year. Winter vacation has been announced in all government and private schools of the state. In MP, different holiday periods have been announced for government and private schools having state government courses and central government schools having CBSE, ICSE courses. While there will be 9 and 10 days’ leave in the central schools of the state, only 5 days’ leave has been given in the state government schools. However, due to Sunday falling, the winter vacation of school children of the state government has also been extended by one more day. In such a situation, school children are getting leave for 6 consecutive days.
Students will get five to ten days of holidays at a time, which has become longer when combined with the holidays they get from December 31 to January 4.
Changes for different schools during holiday period
The duration of holidays will vary in government and private schools as well as central and other board schools in Madhya Pradesh.
Schools affiliated with the state government: 5 days winter vacation has been declared in government and private schools of the state from December 31 to January 4. However, since January 5 is a Sunday, children are getting one more day off. In this way, students of state government schools will return to schools from January 6.
CBSE and ICSE board schools
The duration of winter vacation will be longer in schools affiliated to CBSE and ICSE. There will be a holiday of 9 days in CBSE schools from 24th December to 1st January, and the schools will open from 2nd January. At the same time, holidays in schools affiliated to ICSE board will be from 24th December to 2nd January, i.e. there will be a holiday of 10 days.
Winter holidays in Kendriya Vidyalayas: Holidays have also been announced in Kendriya Vidyalayas. There will be a holiday in these schools from 31st December to 2nd January, and schools will open from 3rd January. According to Kendriya Vidyalaya officials, this holiday will start for the students from tomorrow i.e. December 31.
Here, there will be winter vacation of 9 days from 24 December to 1 January 2025 in the schools of CBSE Board of MP. Now these schools will open on January 2, 2025.
Winter vacation of 5 days i.e. from 31 December to 4 January 2025 has been declared in local course government and private schools of Madhya Pradesh. Since January 5 is a Sunday, the holiday has been increased by one day. In such a situation, government and private schools of MP will start from January 6, 2025.
According to Dr. Kapil Bhargava, Public Relations Officer of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, winter vacation has been declared in Kendriya Vidyalayas. According to the order, there will be holiday for students from tomorrow till January 2.
