Maximum facilities should be provided to the pilgrims coming to Prayagraj to take bath in the Sangam during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. May his journey be smooth and pleasant. During Mahakumbh, more than 13000 trains including 3000 special trains will be run by the Railways. In this series, 5 Mahakumbh special trains running from Southern Railway are being operated via Gondia, Balaghat and Nainpur of South East Central Railway.
In order to provide maximum confirmed berth/seat facility to the railway passengers during the extra rush in trains during the Maha Kumbh Mela, three Kumbh Mela special trains are being operated by South East Central Railway which are Raigarh-Varanasi, It is being run for three trips between Durg-Varanasi and Bilaspur-Varanasi. 08251/08252 Raigarh-Varanasi-Raigarh Kumbh Mela Special, 08791/08792 Durg-Varanasi-Durg Kumbh Mela Special and 08253/08254 Bilaspur-Varanasi-Bilaspur Kumbh Mela Special train is being run via Bilaspur, Katni, Prayagraj. Information about all these Kumbh Mela special trains has already been given.
08530/08529 Visakhapatnam-Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay-Vishakhapatnam and 08562/08561 Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur-Vishakhapatnam Kumbh Mela special trains running through South East Central Railway are being operated. These trains will reach their destination stopping at Raipur, Bilaspur, Uslapur, Raigarh, Champa, Pendraroad, Anuppur, Shahdol and Umaria stations of South East Central Railway. Information about all these Kumbh Mela special trains has been given.
Similarly, the facility of 5 Maha Kumbh Mela special trains running from Southern Railway and trains running from South East Central Railway via Gondia, Balaghat and Nainpur will be operated via Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur and Jabalpur. (01) 06005/06006 Kanyakumari-Gaya-Kanyakumari Weekly Kumbh Mela Special: – This special train will leave from Kanyakumari for Gaya on 06 and 20 January, 2025. Similarly, it will leave from Gaya for Kanyakumari on January 09 and 23, 2025. This special train will operate via Gaya stopping at Kanyakumari, Ren, Kovilpatti, Tiruchirappalli, Villupuram Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Balharshah, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur. This special train will depart with 15 coaches including 06 AC 3, 06 Sleeper, 01 Luggage Van, 02 SLRD.
(02) 06021/06022 Kochuveli-Gaya-Kochuveli Weekly Kumbh Mela Special{ – This special train will leave from Kochuveli for Gaya on 07, 21 January and 04 February, 2025. Similarly, it will leave from Gaya for Kochuveli on 10th, 24th January and 07th February, 2025. This special train will operate to Gaya via Kochuveli, Kayankulam Junction, Ernakulam City, Tiruchirappalli, Erode Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Balharshah, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur. This special train will depart with 18 coaches including 04 AC 3, 06 Sleeper, 01 Luggage Van, 07 SLRD.
(03) 06001/06002 Chennai Central-Gomti Nagar-Chennai Central Weekly Kumbh Mela Special:- This special train will leave from Chennai for Gomti Nagar on 08, 15 and 22 January, 2025 and 05, 19 and 26 February, 2025. . Similarly, it will leave from Gomti Nagar for Chennai on 11, 18 and 25 January and 08 and 22 February, 2025. This special train will operate to Gomti Nagar via Chennai, Gudur Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur. This special train will depart with 18 coaches including 04 AC 3, 06 Sleeper, 01 Luggage Van, 07 SLRD.
(04) 06003/06004 Kanyakumari-Banaras-Kanyakumari Weekly Kumbh Mela Special:- This special train will leave from Kanyakumari for Banaras on February 17, 2025. Similarly, it will leave from Banaras for Kanyakumari on February 20, 2025. This special train will stop at Kanyakumari, Ren, Kovilpatti, Tiruchirappalli, Villupuram Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Balharshah, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur and will operate towards Banaras. This special train will have 06 AC 3, 06 Sleeper, 01 Lagevan, 02 SLRD. Including will leave with 15 coaches.
05) 06007/06008 Kochuveli-Banaras-Kochuveli Weekly Kumbh Mela Special:- This special train will leave from Kochuveli for Banaras on 18th and 25th February, 2025. Similarly, it will leave from Banaras for Kochuveli on 21st and 28th February, 2025. This special train will operate to Gaya via Kochuveli, Kayankulam Junction, Ernakulam City, Tiruchirappalli, Erode Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Balharshah, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur.
