Rohit Sharma can open, Team India’s batting order is reversed, KL Rahul can play at this number

New Delhi
The fourth match of the five-match Test series between India and Australia is to be played from Thursday 26 December at the Melbourne Cricket Ground i.e. MCG. This is the Boxing Day Test match and in this match you may see a reversal of India’s batting order. The pair of two players who had opened in the three matches so far, will probably break in the fourth Test match. However, no player is being dropped, rather reports have come out that KL Rahul has been demoted and captain Rohit Sharma is being promoted, who can open again.

A day before the Boxing Day Test match, such reports are coming out that captain Rohit Sharma may again be seen opening the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit Sharma played at number 6 in the last two matches. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the openers in the first three matches. KL Rahul performed well in the two matches. At the same time, Yashasvi has played one innings well so far. On the other hand, three innings were very bad for captain Rohit Sharma. In such a situation, he can be seen starting the innings again.

Now the question is that if Rohit Sharma opens, then at which number will KL Rahul play? The answer has been received that he can play at number three, whereas Shubman Gill can be sent at number six. Shubman Gill is not looking that effective. In such a situation, he may get some time with the old ball in the middle order. It is possible that Gill may be dropped, but it seems less likely. Virat Kohli is going to play at number four, while Rishabh Pant is confirmed at number five. Looking at the MCG pitch, Washington Sundar may get a chance in place of Nitish Reddy. It is possible that Washington Sundar may play in place of Shubman Gill.
