Apart from this, the future roadmap will also be decided based on the vision of the PM. For the first time in the history of the space program, we have a plan for the next 25 years. Under this plan, India is going to set up a space station, which will start from 2028. Apart from this, India has set a target of sending humans to the moon in 2040. This is a very ambitious project.
Dr. Somnath said that we will accomplish such a feat on the 100th anniversary of the country’s independence. He said, ‘When we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the country’s independence, the Indian flag will also wave on the moon. One of our travelers will go there and return after hoisting the tricolor there. This is our target for the year 2040. Before this, work is going on on Chandrayaan-4 mission. Under this, it will be decided how the Chandrayaan mission will return safely. Currently, India is preparing how to prepare payloads for Chandrayaan mission. Launch vehicles etc. should be developed, so that along with landing on the moon, safe return can also be done.
