Nutritious food scheme started for Rs 5, relief for workers

In accordance with the intention of the State Government and on the initiative of Collector Mrs. Chandan Tripathi, the Labor Department in the district has started a scheme to provide hot and nutritious food for just Rs 5. This scheme has been implemented with the aim of providing nutrition and financial assistance to the workers.

This scheme is being operated under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The scheme was inaugurated by regional MLA Shri Bhaiya Lal Rajwade at Pauni Pasari Haat market located in vegetable market of Baikunthpur. About 260 workers took advantage of this scheme on the very first day. According to the Labor Department, workers registered under the scheme will be provided nutritious and hot food for Rs 5 per day from Monday to Saturday. The objective of this initiative is to provide quality food to workers at affordable rates and meet their nutritional requirements.

Additional Collector Arun Markam, distinguished citizen Krishna Bihari Jaiswal, Labor Officer Narendra Kumar Thakur, Labor Inspector Mukesh Kumar Rathore and other officers and employees of the Labor Department were present in the program. On this occasion, workers were also given information about other schemes run by the department. Officials said that this scheme will improve the health of workers and increase their efficiency. The workers benefited from the scheme called it a big relief for them. Expressing gratitude to the government and the labor department, he said that this initiative is making his life easier and strengthening the economic condition of his family. This initiative of nutritious food for Rs 5 symbolizes a new hope and stability for the workers. This is a reflection of the public welfare philosophy of the government which gives priority to the health and well-being of workers.
