While AAP is trying to include the winning councilors of other parties into the Aam Aadmi Party to get closer to the majority mark, today Congress leader and former MLA Rajinder Berry is standing in front of supporters outside the house of the Congress councilor in ward number 47. Came together and protest was held. The councilor is accused of joining AAP by deceiving the people, while the police reached the spot and took Berry and his supporters into custody.
Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has taken the detained Congress leaders to Bhargo Camp Police Station. Even after reaching the police station, Congress leaders created a ruckus and raised slogans. However, the police released everyone after some time. Let us tell you that Manmeet Kaur, who became councilor on Congress ticket from Ward No. 47, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party, against which today a protest was organized by the District Congress Committee outside Manmeet Kaur’s house in Avtar Nagar.
