Due to this snowfall yesterday, vehicular movement had to be temporarily stopped on the Manali-Keylong road. About 1000 vehicles got stuck on the way to Atal Tunnel. However, the administration displayed promptness and carried out the rescue operation.

3 national highways closed in Himachal

Due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, 174 state and 3 national highways (NH 03, NH 305, NH 505) have been closed in the last 24 hours. Divisional area connections of electricity and water have also been cut in some districts. While in 6 districts Electricity is disrupted at 683 places. Public services are disrupted due to changing weather and snowfall. The Disaster Information Department has released the report according to the district. At the same time, advisory has also been issued for tourists.

Situation like Himachal Pradesh has started happening in Uttarakhand also. There has been snowfall in many high altitude areas of the state. However, compared to Himachal, there is less snowfall here. Still, high altitude areas like Auli, Uttarkashi, Chakrata, Badrinath, Kedarnath have been covered with white sheets. This is the second snowfall of this season in Kedarnath Dham. The reconstruction work going on there has also been affected due to snowfall. Continuous snowfall is continuing in Kedarnath Dham since yesterday. More than one foot of snow has fallen in the Dham so far. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that it may be very cold on Christmas and New Year.

Auli, the famous tourist destination and ski resort of Uttarakhand, has once again come under the grip of heavy snow. In the pictures in the valleys of Auli, you can see how trees, plants, houses, roads, everything is visible here in the lap of snow, after which the view of Auli itself looks very beautiful. What tourists and local hoteliers had been waiting for for a long time is now being seen here.

Under the thick blanket of half a foot snow, the valleys of Auli are visible everywhere white. Tomorrow is Christmas and due to the weekend, a large number of tourists are coming to Auli in Uttarakhand. In such a situation, this snowfall is no less than a gift for them because now the valleys of Auli are covered with snow. In such a situation, the wish of the tourists who reached here has been fulfilled. Auli has now once again come under the grip of heavy snow.

The weather trend in Jammu and Kashmir has also changed to a great extent. There is also heavy snowfall in the higher altitude areas. Yesterday there was snowfall in Pir Panjal and Sonamarg. There is an alert from the weather department in many other areas also. These days the temperature of Kashmir has continuously fallen.

Currently, minus 3.6 degree temperature was recorded in Srinagar on Sunday night. The famous Dal Lake has started freezing due to falling mercury. Whereas in Pahalgam the temperature was minus 5 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is going to shock further till Wednesday.
