The golden chariot of Baba Ranjit Hanuman reached the temple premises at around 11.15 am in Indore. The chief priest of the temple, Pandit Deepesh Vyas, claims that more than 5 lakh devotees participated in the Prabhat Pheri of Baba Ranjit, which started at 5 am on Monday morning.

Baba was welcomed on more than 200 stages across the city. The devotees moved forward dancing and shouting Jai Ranjit. Everyone from children to the elderly came to seek Baba’s blessings in Prabhat Pheri.

According to the members of the devotee group associated with the temple, in the initial years of this yatra, the priest and some devotees used to circumambulate with the picture of the Lord in their hands. After this, from 1985, Prabhat Pheri was started on handcart. During that time the yatra was taken out till Mahunaka intersection.

Prabhat Pheri was taken out on the chariot for the first time in 2015

After this, in 2008, a journey was carried out on a carriage. Then the devotees resolved to make a chariot for Baba and for the first time in 2015, Prabhat Pheri was taken out on the chariot, till then the number of devotees was normal, but in 2016 suddenly the number increased manifold and more than 50 thousand devotees participated in the Prabhat Pheri.

Devotees from nearby cities also come

Since then the number of devotees is increasing every year. Chief priest Deepesh Vyas says that now Baba’s Prabhatferi is recognized across the country. Devotees from the city as well as nearby cities come to participate in it. The relatives of the people living on the route come a day or two before the Yatra so that they can participate in the Prabhat Pheri.

The entire route was decorated with saffron flags.

Tableaux, vehicles of bhajan groups, carts and chariots are included in the Prabhat Pheri being taken out from Ranjit Hanuman Temple at 5 am. The board members started sorting them from 10 pm on Sunday night. The entire route has been decorated with saffron flag. Prabhatferi will come to the temple via Mahunaka, Annapurna Temple, Narendra Tiwari Marg.

Distribution of defense sources after morning procession

On Sunday, the third day of Ranjit Ashtami Mahotsav, Baba’s Mahabhishek was performed with various medicines and liquids after havan-puja in the presence of hundreds of devotees. After this the Lord was adorned.

On this occasion, 1.25 lakh defense sources were invited as per the rituals. These Raksha Sutras will be distributed free of cost from the temple after Prabhat Pheri.
