Treatment of Chhattisgarh’s identity and country’s second highest honour, Padma Vibhushan, Mrs. Teejan Bai has started at AIIMS. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai had instructed the Health Department to make arrangements for proper and better treatment of Teejan Bai as soon as he got information about her illness. In this context, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal had also come to meet Teejan Bai to get information about her health and also provided financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh.
During this time, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal had instructed the Health Department to provide motorized remote control automatic bed, bed table and wheel chair for Teejan Bai at home. Following the instructions, the Health Department has provided these essential items for Teejan Bai. Along with this, a medical officer and a physiotherapist have also been appointed to look after Teejan Bai. A team of doctors examines his health once a day at his home and prepares a medical report.
It is noteworthy that Mrs. Teejan Bai, awarded with Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards, has brought glory to Chhattisgarh in the country and abroad through Pandwani. Teejan Bai is truly the identity of Chhattisgarh. In this regard, the state government is also leaving no stone unturned in the supervision of Teejan Bai. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai himself keeps taking information about the health of Teejan Bai and as his representative, he has given the full responsibility of taking care of Teejan Bai to Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.
