The soldiers have achieved great success against the Naxalites. Five Naxalites including three prize-winners have been arrested. One woman Naxalite is also included in these. A reward of Rs 2 lakh each has been declared on one arrested male and one female Naxalite and Rs 1 lakh has been declared on one Naxalite.
Chintagufa Police Station, DRG and 02nd Corps CRPF, 203 Cobra Corps have taken joint action. All the arrested Naxalites were involved in the incident of murder of a villager in Chintagufa police station area.
According to the information, during the anti-Naxal operation, security forces have arrested Muchaki Hunga alias Jatti, Kawasi Gangi, Madvi Hinga and two others near the forest of Duleda village of Chintagufa police station area. Madvi Metaguda was the president of Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan (DAKMS) under RPC. Whereas two other Naxalites are from lower level cadre.

Here, on the banks of Nayapara river in Antagarh, Naxalites have put up banners and posters alleging that their Naxalite leader Prabhakar has been arrested by the police. It has been said through the banner that on December 19, on the information of an informer, Prabhakar has been arrested from Antagarh by blocking the roadblock. He has been asked to present Prabhakar in the court as soon as possible in a safe manner.
