Under the direction of Collector Shri Chandrashekhar Shukla and under the guidance of District Excise Officer Shri Khemraj Shyam, action was taken by the Excise Department on receiving information about collection and sale of illegal liquor under Vrit Baidhan and Morwa.
During the proceedings, the accused Sapna Kevat husband Ashish Kevat resident Golai Basti Jayant, Rinki Kevat husband Govind Kevat resident Jayant, Shyamkali husband Sonu Gupta resident Jayant, Parvati sweeper husband Santosh sweeper and Pooja sweeper husband Shankar sweeper resident sweeper Basti Dudhichua were duly searched. During this period a total of 420 kg Mahua Lahan and 12 liters of Hathbhatti liquor cost around Rs 43. Hajsar recovered Rs 800 and filed a case against the accused in Madhya Pradesh. A case was registered and action was taken under Section 34 (1) (a) and (f) of the Excise Act 1915.
