The time for the electric car that Indians have been waiting for for a long time is about to come. Yes, the biggest motor show in India Bharat Mobility Globus Expo 2025 is going to start in the first month of the year 2025 in January and on its first day, Hyundai Motor can launch its new Creta EV on January 17. Creta EV can be showcased at Hyundai Motor’s stall along with premium electric SUV Ioniq 9 EV and people from across the country and the world will be able to see it.
Competing with popular electric SUV
Hyundai Motor, through its upcoming Creta EV, is going to enter a segment where there is immense potential and it will give tough competition to companies like Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra as well as JSW MG Motor. Hyundai Creta EV will compete with electric SUVs like Mahindra BE6, Tata Curve EV, MG ZS EV and Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming E Vitara.
Better changes in exterior and interior
For now, if we tell you about Hyundai Creta EV, its design will be largely similar to the petrol-diesel Creta. However, some more changes may be seen in its exterior including new grille, bumper and alloy wheels. Talking about the interior, it will see many new features along with new steering wheel, center console and drive selector. It is being said that the interior of the upcoming Creta EV will be inspired by the recently launched Alcazar SUV.
Many special features including big screen
Hyundai Creta EV will see two large screens for infotainment and instrument cluster. There will also be many physical buttons, which will make it easier to control things. Apart from this, it will have many other features including electronic parking brake, cooled seats, auto-hold, 6 airbags standard, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, which can make this electric SUV a favorite of the customers.
Power and Range
Talking about the battery power and range of the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, a battery pack of 45kWh power can be seen in it. Its electric motor can give power of about 138 HP and peak torque of 255 Newton meters. Talking about the remaining range, Creta EV can give a range of between 400 to 500 kilometers once fully charged.
The initial possible price could be this much
Let us tell you that Hyundai Creta EV can be launched at a starting ex-showroom price of up to Rs 16 lakh. Hyundai Motor India is planning to produce around 24,000 units of Creta EV every year.
