Players of Madhya Pradesh are making their mark in boxing also

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inaugurated the “41st Elite Men and 7th Women M.P.” at the Martial Arts Complex located at Tatya Tope Stadium, Bhopal. “State Level Boxing Championship 2024” launched. On this occasion, he encouraged all the participants and called for maintaining the spirit of sports.

Minister Sarang said that the state government is continuously working for the upgradation of sports and encouragement of players. He said that sports is a powerful medium for the physical and mental development of youth. Such events not only highlight the talents but also inculcate discipline and self-confidence in them.

Excellent players will be selected in the regional team
Hundreds of male and female boxers from different districts of Madhya Pradesh have participated in this championship. The participants in the competition are showcasing their excellent sporting talent. This championship is being organized in different weight categories, in which players are competing with their skills and technical proficiency. It is noteworthy that from this competition organized till 16th December, players will be selected for Main Elite Boxing Championship, Bareilly, UP and Elite Women Boxing Championship, Bhopal.

Special emphasis on development of sports infrastructure
Minister Sarang said that continuous efforts are being made for the development of sports infrastructure in the state. Encouraging the players, he said that players from Madhya Pradesh are making their mark at the national and international level in sports like boxing.

Special appearance at the inauguration ceremony
On this occasion, Sports Director Ravi Gupta, Joint Director BL Yadav, Technical Director of Madhya Pradesh Boxing Association Virendra Singh Thakur, senior sports officials, coaches, and sports lovers were present. During the program, Minister Sarang interacted with the young players and encouraged them.
