The winter session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly will be held from 16 to 20 December. The state government can present a supplementary budget of about Rs 20 thousand crores during this period. For this, the Finance Department had started preparations two months in advance. The government has also instructed all the departments to send proposals for the supplementary budget. Departments are also preparing what should be the basis for the supplementary budget. For example, departments have been told that they will not propose to buy any new vehicle. They have also been asked to clarify in the proposal how much amount will be required for loans and grants.
It is noteworthy that all the departments will also tell the government where they spent the amount, how much was estimated for the budget last year and how much was the supplementary budget.
