The Indore Bench of the High Court has given an important decision in the ongoing dispute regarding direct recruitment of Deans in 18 medical colleges of the capital Bhopal and the state. Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla clearly said that a senior professor cannot be forced to work under a junior.

High Court’s question to the government

In fact, the High Court also ordered to appoint senior professor Dr. Ved Prakash Pandey as Dean for MGM Medical College, Indore. In fact, the hearing on Dr. Pandey’s petition challenging direct recruitment to the post of Dean was held on 10 December. In this case, Justice Shukla asked the government why the charge of Dean was given to Professor Dr. Ashok Yadav, junior to Dr. Pandey, while the government could not present any concrete answer or document.

The High Court also ordered the appointment of senior professor Dr. Ved Prakash Pandey as the Dean of MGM Medical College, Indore. Actually, Prof. Hearing was held on December 10 on the petition challenging the appointment of Dr. Ved Prakash Pandey to the post of Dean in Indore through direct recruitment.

In this, Justice Shukla sought clarification from the government as to on what basis Dr. Ashok Yadav, junior to Dr. Pandey, was given the charge of Dean. The court found that the government had not presented any facts or documents.

Hearing of other medical colleges on January 7

The government’s lawyer argued that the confidential report of professors is not written by the dean, but by the commissioner and director. However, no documents could be presented to support this claim. The court has sought detailed answers from the state government in this matter by January 7. The hearing of cases of direct recruitment of Deans in other medical colleges has also been scheduled on the same day.

On this, the government’s lawyer argued that the confidential report of the dean is written by the commissioner and the director, not the professor. However, no documents were produced to support this claim. The court has asked the government to give a detailed reply in this matter by January 7, and cases related to direct recruitment of deans in other medical colleges will also be heard on the same day.
