Special incentives being given to industries in Naxal affected areas

Industries will get subsidy for providing employment to surrendered Naxalites.

Our government is making efforts to make Chhattisgarh the industrial hub of India through the new industrial policy. Under this policy, emphasis has been laid on regional economic development, employment generation, modernization of infrastructure and increasing industrial investment. Today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this by joining online in the India Economic Conclave organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government has made many important provisions for the development of tribal and backward areas of the state. He said that five lakh jobs will be created in Chhattisgarh in the next five years. Many other assistances are being given to industries in Naxal affected areas including special incentives, under which, if they provide employment to surrendered Naxalites, the industries will be reimbursed up to 40 percent of their salaries in the form of subsidy. Under this policy, up to 45% assistance will be given to the industries under permanent capital investment grant for setting up industries in Bastar. At the same time, under SGST reimbursement, SGST up to 150 percent of the capital investment will also be refunded for the next 10 years. Under the new policy, industries are being given exemption in stamp duty and electricity charges, as well as 10 more types of investment incentives.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a new industrial area of ​​118 acres is also being established in Bastar for the supporting units of Nagarnar Steel Plant. This will encourage the establishment of micro, small and medium industries.

Shri Sai said that Single Window System 2.0 for investors has been included in the new industry policy. With this, they can get clearance from multiple departments at one place. This policy is a policy to promote MSME sector in the state. We are giving priority to green industries and technology based industries in this policy.

In the program, Industry Department Secretary Mr. Rajat Kumar and Director Mr. Prabhat Malik also gave a presentation on Naya Raipur and new industry policy.

Naya Raipur will become IT and education hub

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that Naya Raipur is being developed as IT hub, health hub and education hub. Providing plug and play infrastructure to IT and related firms at concessional rates. Space has been allotted for the creation of more than three and a half thousand jobs in the IT sector.

The trial run of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar railway line has been completed. He said that we are spending Rs 150 crore on infrastructure like construction of CBD railway station, roads and public parking. Three other railway stations are also being constructed. He said that many projects related to Naya Raipur will be completed by the end of this year. These include projects like IT and related sectors, electronic manufacturing, home appliances, defence, pharmaceutical, multi-modal logistics hub.

Policy of development and security against Naxalism

Highlighting the government’s efforts in tackling Naxalism, Chief Minister Sai said that many Naxalites have been killed this year and around 1,500 have surrendered or been arrested. He reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminate Naxalism from Chhattisgarh within the next two years. He said that we have worked on the policy of development and security against Naxalism. In the last one year, along with setting up 34 security camps in Bastar, infrastructure is being developed in the interior villages through the Niyad Nella Naar scheme.

Emphasis on digital governance and transparency

The Chief Minister said that the government has implemented digital governance to ensure transparency and curb corruption in Chhattisgarh. An investment of Rs 266 crore has been made in IT equipment to increase accountability in administration. The implementation of government schemes can be monitored through Atal Monitoring App. Through Swagat Portal, one can easily meet the officials in the Ministry by applying in the portal without waiting. Through the CMO portal, citizens can quickly get information related to governance and administration. At the same time, now people can do registration sitting at home through Sugam app.

Priority for infrastructure development

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the target has been set to build a developed Chhattisgarh for a developed India. Under this, priority is being given to the development of infrastructure in the state. Important road projects worth Rs 31 thousand crore have been approved by the Central Government. Roads are being expanded to the interior villages of Bastar and Surguja. He said that work on Raipur-Vishakhapatnam Economy Corridor and many railway projects is going on at a fast pace. Raipur, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur airports are expanding. The central government has given green signal for international flights from Raipur. At the same time, under the Niyad Nella Naar scheme, mobile connectivity is being increased to the inaccessible areas of Bastar.

Emphasis on water supply and rural development

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai informed about the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission, a scheme to provide clean drinking water to every household in the state. He said that more than 79% of the mission work has been completed and so far 40 lakh houses have been provided tap water facility. Under the Multi-Village Scheme, the problem of water supply is being solved in those areas where there is shortage of groundwater. Clean drinking water is now being provided through tap water scheme in remote villages like Pacrahi.
