Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate MPT’s newly constructed Sarsi Island Resort in Shahdol today. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture and Religious Trusts and Endowments Shri Dharmendra Bhavsingh Lodhi will be specially present in the state level function to be held today at 10:30 am.

The resort has been constructed by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation on the back water of Bansagar Dam. This will be a special facility for the tourists visiting Bandhavgarh National Park and Maihar. MPT Sarsi Island Resort takes care of all the modern amenities required by tourists including luxury eco huts, three boat clubs, charming restaurants, modern conference rooms, gym, library and children’s play area. This site, developed under the Eco-Circuit Project, is an important step towards promoting regional tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development works under the Jan Kalyan Parv in Beohari of Shahdol district. Will also address the public meeting.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will transfer an amount of more than Rs 332 crore to the bank accounts of 60 lakh students under the Integrated Scholarship Scheme of the School Education Department with a single click in the state level program organized in Mauganj district under Jan Kalyan Parv. The responsibility of implementing the integrated scholarship scheme in the overall social security mission in the state has been entrusted to the School Education Department. Under this scheme, 20 types of scholarships are provided to the students of 6 departments of School Education, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Free Nomads and Semi Nomads, Backward Class and Minority Welfare and Social Justice Department.

Akshaypatra will attend the ceremony
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will attend the Akshaypatra ceremony organized at Mauganj district headquarters. Along with distribution of nutrition kits and scholarships to children, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone of 54 development works. This mainly includes the Sitapur-Hanumana Micro Pressure Irrigation Project costing Rs 5065 crore. An exhibition of development plans of various departments along with the achievements of the state government for one year will be organized at the venue of the function.
