The efforts of the Madhya Pradesh government and the campaign to provide better health services to patients suffering from serious diseases under the Ayushman Bharat scheme are continuing. On Tuesday, the life of Chhatarpur resident Mrs. Rajkumari Gupta (52 years) was saved by timely referral to higher center through PMShri Air Ambulance. Ayushman Yojana beneficiary Mrs. Gupta received free treatment and air ambulance facilities. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh government is ensuring that every citizen of the state gets timely and high quality health services. This service realizes the resolve to provide all possible help to the needy and give them the right to a healthy life.

It is noteworthy that Mrs. Rajkumari Gupta was admitted to District Hospital Chhatarpur on December 10 on the complaint of stomach ache and low blood pressure. During the examination, doctors found a large injury and internal bleeding in his left kidney. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the team of surgeons and specialist doctors of the district hospital decided to immediately refer him to Bhopal. Being an Ayushman card holder, the patient was referred to Chirayu Medical College, Bhopal for free treatment. With the help of the district hospital team, the patient was taken to Khajuraho airport by ambulance and from there he was sent to Bhopal through air ambulance. On reaching Chirayu Medical College, advanced tests like blood test, ultrasound, CT scan and DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography) were done on the patient. The investigation found that the patient had a large and ruptured angiomyolipoma (tumor of blood vessels and fat) measuring 11×7 cm in his left kidney, due to which there was continuous bleeding.

Complex surgery done within 3 hours
Considering the patient’s condition, the team of doctors decided to immediately perform embolization and coiling procedure to stop the bleeding. This complex procedure was successfully completed by interventional radiologist Dr. Adnan Khan and his team within 3 hours. Due to this life saving procedure the patient’s life could be saved. New medical procedures included in Ayushman Yojana: This procedure has been included recently. Earlier, a total of 1670 types of treatments were available under the scheme, expanding it, a new health benefit package HBP-2022 has been implemented, in which 282 types of new treatments have been included. Now 1952 types of treatments are available under Ayushman Yojana. The new package includes many state-of-the-art medical services including high-end investigation for serious diseases such as organ transplantation, bone marrow transplant and cancer diagnosis and treatment.
