The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the statement of Justice Shekhar Yadav of Allahabad High Court. The apex court has sought reply from Allahabad High Court in this matter. In fact, in a program of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Justice Shekhar Yadav had said that the country will be run according to the majority.
An official statement said, “The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the speech of sitting judge of Allahabad High Court Shekhar Kumar Yadav published in newspapers. Details have been sought from the High Court. The matter is under consideration.
