Due to the impact of western disturbance, there will be a change in the weather of Madhya Pradesh within the next 48 hours. There will be icy winds in the state and the temperature will also drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. However, it may be cloudy at some places and drizzle may also occur in some parts.

According to MP Meteorological Department, cold day, fog and cold wave conditions can be seen after 15-20 December. Today on Monday, in different parts of Singrauli, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Mandla and Balaghat districts. There may be light rain and thunder. Especially in the end of December and January, there can be a situation of cold wave i.e. dense fog along with cold winds for 20 to 22 days.

Currently four weather systems are active at different places. A jet stream over northwest India, a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, a Western Disturbance cyclone in the upper part of the air mass over central Pakistan and an induced cyclone also persist over Pakistan. Due to its effect, some moisture is coming in the state along with the winds and partly cloudy rain conditions are prevailing at some places in Eastern Madhya Pradesh. The minimum temperature is expected to drop from Monday due to the north and north-westerly direction of the winds. However, partial clouds may remain at isolated places in the districts of Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions.

The lowest temperature recorded in Tikamgarh of the state was 9 degrees.

It was 12.1 degrees in Bhopal, 12.8 degrees in Ujjain, 13.8 degrees in Jabalpur and 14.3 degrees in Indore.

Gwalior recorded 9.3 degrees, Rajgarh 9.6 degrees, Girwar (Shajapur) 9.7 degrees, Khajuraho (Chhatarpur) 10.2 degrees and Chitrakoot (Satna) and Naugaon (Chhatarpur) 10.3 degrees.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degrees in Gwalior, 27.5 degrees in Indore, 27.8 degrees in Bhopal, 28 degrees in Ujjain and 28.3 degrees in Jabalpur.
