Medhansh Trivedi, a student of Scindia School Fort, has prepared a human drone, which is capable of flying with a person sitting on it. Medhansh, a class 12th student, has named this drone MTLD-01. Medansh says that it took three months to make this drone. During this period, there were many failures also. It has cost approximately four lakh rupees. The empty weight of this drone is 32 kg and the flight time is eight minutes. This drone has a total power of 50 horse power, which is more powerful than a tractor. Medhansh told that this drone can go up to a height of four kilometers. The maximum speed of the drone is 80 kilometers per hour.
Looking for funding to start an air taxi company
The drone is just 1.8 meters wide and 1.8 meters long and can lift 90 kilograms. Medhansh explains that a lot of risk had to be taken in completing the drone.
The 50-inch diameter propellers are spinning very fast right next to the person sitting in the drone.
Medhansh is looking for funding to further improve the drone and start his air taxi company.
Along with this, he also wants to provide cheap helicopters to the people.
Idea came after seeing Chinese drones on different platforms
He says that he had seen Chinese drones on different platforms. After seeing them, the idea of doing something different came to his mind.
Medhansh also received an award from Jyotiraditya Scindia and ISRO CEO S Somnath for this drone. Medhansh had demonstrated this drone on the foundation day of Scindia School Fort.
