The effect of the Fangal storm has started ending, hence a change in the weather will be seen again due to the arrival of a western disturbance in North India on 7th December. Especially due to snowfall and rain in the mountains of North India, cold winds will blow and winter will intensify with the drop in temperature in the state. During this period, there may be cloud cover and drizzle at some places in the eastern part.
According to MP Meteorological Department, the temperature is increasing due to the weakening of storm Fangal and turning into a low pressure area. There will be no significant fluctuation in the temperature of the state for the next 48 hours and the weather will remain the same. After this, due to the effect of western disturbance, there are chances of light rain in the districts of Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol and Sagar divisions.

According to the MP Meteorological Department, after the effect of the Fengal storm is over, there will be snowfall on the mountains due to western disturbance and due to the arrival of north-western winds, the night temperature will drop in Gwalior, Chambal and Ujjain divisions and the effect of severe cold will be seen. There will be an increase in temperature in western, eastern and southern parts. The period of severe cold in the state will start from December 20, which will continue till January. There may also be a situation of cold wave i.e. cold winds for 20 to 22 days in 40 days.

At present, a jet stream is present over North India and a cyclone in the upper part of the air in the east-central Arabian Sea. The direction of the winds remains northern and north-eastern, due to which the temperature continues to fluctuate. A western disturbance is likely to reach North India on December 7. Due to its effect, there are chances of snowfall and rain in the mountains of North India. Due to this, the period of severe cold is expected to start again. The weather pattern before that is likely to remain the same.
