After Perth, India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah also made a comeback against Australia in Adelaide. Bumrah, who took 8 wickets in the Perth Test, took four wickets in the first innings of the second match being played in Adelaide. He dismissed opener Usman Khawaja (13), McSweeney (39), Steve Smith (2) and captain Pat Cummins (12) in the day-night Test. Bumrah has broken the record of Mohammed Shami and Zaheer Khan by hitting a ‘fatal four’ of wickets.
Bumrah has reached fourth place in the list of Asian bowlers taking the most wickets in SENA countries. He has taken 125 wickets in 53 innings in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia). India’s fast pacer Shami has taken 123 wickets. He did this in 63 innings. Ishant Sharma (130 wickets) is ahead of Bumrah. Former Indian spinner Anil Kumble (141) is second and former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram (146) is on top.

On the basis of the century inning of Travis Head (140), Australia scored 337 runs on the second day of Adelaide Test on Saturday. India’s first innings was limited to 180 runs. Australia took a huge lead of 157 runs on the basis of first innings. Apart from Bumrah, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj also took four wickets. Nitish Reddy and R Ashwin took one wicket each.
