A woman was killed by firing on Friday over a dispute over tying a cow on government land. Four people have been injured and are undergoing treatment in the district hospital. The matter is of Dhakni village of Garoth tehsil. Around 30 accused had come to attack in five vehicles. The attackers had come with guns, swords and sticks. After the death of the woman in the attack, a blockade was also made in Garoth to arrest the accused soon. After about two hours, the roadblock was opened after assurance from the police officers. The police have detained some people. On Friday morning, 30 people who came in five four-wheelers attacked a Dalit family in village Dhakni. Suganabai wife Balaram Suryavanshi died in the firing. While four people are injured. After the attack, the injured were taken to Garoth Hospital. From there an injured Ram Gopal was referred to the district hospital. Sugana’s son Sukhdev and husband Balram told that Narendra Singh of the village and his father had carried out the attack. Balram is also shot in the hand. He has been referred to Mandsaur. After the incident, a large crowd gathered at Garoth Hospital. Garoth ASP Hemlata Kuril also reached the hospital.

After the attack, people of the society demonstrated by placing the dead body on the road. People of Dalit community sat on a dharna at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel intersection near the police station in Garoth Nagar to arrest the accused of murder. This caused a jam. Apart from this, blockade was also done on Bolia Road, Shamgarh Road. For about two hours, the commuters on the roads to and from Bolia, Shamgarh, Bhanpura, Khadavada continued to face problems. Police forces from Shamgarh, Bhanpura, Suwasra etc. police stations have also been deployed. After assurance from the police officers, people ended the blockade in about 2 hours. Garoth ASP Hemlata Kuril said that during initial interrogation, the names of the attackers were revealed as Arjun Singh, Narendra Singh, Jailer Singh, Pratap Singh. Everyone is being searched.
The dispute between Balram, a resident of village Dhakni, and his family was over the construction of a shed on government land. According to the information, Balaram has a band business. At the time of the incident, he was building a shed for his cows on government land, due to which a dispute broke out. During the dispute, a bullet was fired and Sugnabai died on the spot. The condition of the deceased’s father-in-law Ram Gopal, who is among the injured, remains critical.
