In 1979 and 1983, Kapil Dev took 74 and 75 wickets respectively, while in 2002, Zaheer Khan took 51 Test wickets. Bumrah has already taken 50 wickets in his account in 2024, but this year Team India still has to play two more Test matches, while one Test is going on. There are still two innings in this test match. 17 times Indian bowlers have taken 50 or more wickets in a year, during which Bumrah’s average is the best. Bumrah has taken wickets at an average of 15.14 this year.

Talking about the match, India won the toss and decided to bat first. The Indian team was all out for 180 runs. Mitchell Starc took six wickets. For India, Nitish Reddy scored 42 runs, while KL Rahul scored 37 runs with his bat. Shubman Gill scored 31 runs. Bumrah took his 50th Test wicket in the 11th Test match this year. Bumrah’s best bowling figure this year is 6/45.
