A major accident took place while cooking in Jhalmala village of police station area of Balod district of Chhattisgarh. Jitendra Patel and his wife Jiteshwari Patel got badly burnt due to fire while removing the utensils from the gas. Both were taken to the district hospital in critical condition, where after first aid they were referred to Rajnandgaon Medical College.
Balod. A tragic accident took place while cooking in Jhalmala village of Balod district of Chhattisgarh. Both husband and wife suffered serious burns in the incident. The husband’s name is said to be Jitendra Patel and the wife’s name is said to be Jiteshwari Patel. The couple who got burnt in the accident were first taken to the district hospital. When his condition became serious, the doctors immediately referred him to Rajnandgaon Medical College.
According to the information, a sudden fire broke out while removing the vessel from the gas. First wife Jiteshwari Patel came under fire. Hearing the screams of his wife, Jitendra tried to save her, but in this attempt he also got burnt. The fire spread so fast that both of them suffered 35 percent burns.
Chaos in the area after the incident
After the incident, there was chaos in the village area. It is feared that the cause of the accident could be the clothes kept near the gas cylinder suddenly catching fire. However, the police is investigating the matter.
Police engaged in investigation
The team of Balod police station has inspected the incident site. Forensic team has also been called so that the exact cause of the fire can be found out. At present the couple’s family and neighbors are being interrogated.
