Administration bans burning of stubble in Bhopal, FIR will be registered for violation

In Madhya Pradesh, more incidents of stubble burning are being seen this time than last year. The air has become polluted due to continuous burning of stubble in the areas around the capital Bhopal. Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh has become strict to stop the increasing pollution in the capital. He has issued an order in this regard. Under which immediate action will be taken against those who burn stubble.

This order has been issued by Additional Collector Bhupendra Goyal on Thursday on the instructions of Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh. According to this order, burning of stubble has been completely banned.

Following the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the administration has imposed a ban on burning of stubble by farmers after harvesting in all the revenue limits of the district. Now, if any farmer sets fire to stubble, an FIR will be lodged against him in the police station. Other legal action may also be taken against him.

This order has become effective from November 21, which will remain in force for the next two months. All SDMs, Tehsildars and police stations will put it on the notice boards of their offices. The executive magistrate and police station in-charge of the concerned area will visit their respective areas and ensure the above arrangements.

The garbage, chaff and stalks lying in the fields, after rotting, make the land naturally fertile. To destroy them by burning them is to waste energy. Burning causes emission of harmful gases. Due to which the environment is being adversely affected.

Many farmers in the district are removing stalks from the fields with rotavators and other means. This facility has become available in the district.

Disadvantages of burning stubble

Garbage, straw and stalks lying in the fields after rotting make the land naturally fertile, burning them destroys energy. Burning causes emission of harmful gases. Due to which the environment is being adversely affected.

When field fire goes out of control, public property and natural vegetation, animals etc. get destroyed. Due to which there is extensive damage.

The beneficial micro-organisms naturally found in the soil of the field are destroyed due to which the fertility of the field gets reduced and the production is affected.
