School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh has said that the National Cadet Corps (NCC) has made an important contribution in making India a powerful nation. NCC organization is continuously working to make the students and youth studying in schools as disciplined and responsible citizens. NCC has developed the values of national unity, integrity, communal harmony, social service, discipline and patriotism in the minds of the students. Minister Singh was addressing the 76th Foundation Day ceremony of NCC at Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal today.
School Education Minister Singh said that there are many personalities holding high positions in the country, who are contributing to the nation building. All of them were associated with NCC in their youth. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained associated with NCC during his school education. NCC’s events are playing an important role in strengthening the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. By connecting more and more youth with NCC, we can fulfill the Prime Minister’s dream of a developed India.
NCC Additional Director General Major General Vikrant M Dumane in his welcome address said that NCC was formed in India in 1948. NCC is that institution of our country, which is contributing a lot in giving a positive direction to the society. NCC is also continuously working to develop leadership abilities among the students and strengthen the spirit of social service.
Presentations of cultural programs
On the foundation day of NCC, cadets presented tribal folk dances of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region. The students of Carmel Convent, Bhopal presented melodious sounds on the brass band in a disciplined manner. Along with this, the cadets also presented the NCC anthem and the national anthem. At the conclusion of the program, Deputy Director General Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Brigadier Rajneesh Singh Gaur said that it is proposed to establish a Cadet Training Academy to train the youth in the state. Land has been allotted there. Building construction work will start there soon. Along with this, snack allowance of cadets and residential allowance of cadets attending the camp have also been increased. He said that continuous efforts are being made to increase the number of NCC cadets in Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, NCC cadets donated blood in the camp.
