100 tribal hostels will be built with Rs 400 crore in 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh, will get benefit of Utkarsh Abhiyan scheme

Under the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan, the Central Government is paying special attention to the education and residential facilities of tribal students across the country. Under this, the Central Government has given approval for the construction of tribal hostels as per the proposals received from all the states of the country. Madhya Pradesh’s Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that approving the proposal sent by the Madhya Pradesh Government, approval has been given for the construction of 100 tribal hostels in 20 districts. Now in 50 blocks of 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh (every 2-2 tribal hostels will be built in the block. All these tribal hostels will cost Rs 4 crore each and will have 100 seaters each.

Dharti Aaba Tribal Utkarsh Abhiyan has been started for the development of more than 60 thousand tribal villages of the country. Its objective is the overall development of the tribal society, under this various development works costing Rs 80 thousand crores will be carried out.

Where will hostels be built?

Tribal Affairs Minister Dr Vijay Shah said that under the campaign, Alirajpur, Jobat, Katthiwada, Sondwa and Udaigarh of Alirajpur district, Pansemal and Pati of Barwani district, Bhimpur, Multai and Shahpur of Betul district, Amarwada, Bichua, Harrai of Chhindwara district, Junnardev, Parasia and Tamia, Tendukheda of Damoh district, Dindori, Mehndwani, Samnapur and Shahpura of Dindori district, Kundam of Jabalpur district, Petlawad, Rama, Ranapur and Thandla of Jhabua district, Bhagwanpura, Bhikangaon and Jhirnya of Khargone district, Mandla district. Narayanganj, Narsinghpur of Narsinghpur district, Powai of Panna district, Rampur-Baghelan of Satna district, Nasrullaganj of Sehore district, Chhapara, Dhanaura, Kahanapas (Ghansaur) and Lakhnadaun of Seoni district, Beohari, Burhar and Jaisinghnagar of Shahdol district, Sheopur district. These hostels will be built in Karahal and Vijaypur, Khaniyandhana and Shivpuri of Shivpuri district, Sidhi and Sinhawal of Sidhi district and Baidhan, Chitrangi and Devsar of Singrauli district.

The minister said that these tribal hostels will be built at such a place (possibly in or near the CM Rise School campus) so that tribal students from nearby villages can get permanent facility to stay and get education.

Minister Dr. Vijay Shah said that Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan is being run by the Central Government for the overall development and welfare of all the tribal dominated villages of the country. In this campaign, holistic development of 11 thousand 377 tribal dominated villages located in 267 development blocks of 51 districts of the state will be done. 18 lakh 58 thousand families of 43 tribal communities reside in these 51 districts, whose total population of 93 lakh 23 thousand will directly benefit from this campaign.
