School is considered a temple of education but what if the school is turned into a graveyard. One such case has come to light from Sanaudha area of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. In Girwar here, preparations have been revealed to convert the grounds of the school campus into a graveyard and to dig a grave here and incinerate the deceased. When the administration reached the information, the people present there started arguing.
The administration has closed the grave and given another place to bury the deceased. However, during this time people were bent on dispute. The police and administration had to make a lot of efforts and threatened them and then the villagers agreed. The Child Rights Protection Commission has also issued notices to the concerned in the matter.
This is the whole matter
According to the information, some people were digging a grave to bury a deceased in the grounds of the Government Higher Secondary School in Girwar village on the border of the district. Someone informed Omkar Singh, a member of the Madhya Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission. When he immediately informed Collector Sandeep GR about the matter, the administration swung into action. When the policemen reached here and asked to stop the process of digging the grave and cremating the ashes, the relatives of the deceased and the people of the society started threatening the police.
After the threat, ASP arrived with his team.
When the local police could not handle the matter and people started threatening to protest by keeping the dead body in the police station, seeing the matter worsening, Additional SP Lokesh Sinha and the administration staff reached Girwar with heavy police force. Here he gave advice to the society and family members. People said that our graveyard was already here, but a school has been built next to it. After much effort, people agreed. The administration has given them another place to bury the deceased.
The dead body is buried on holidays, it was also buried 3 months ago.
According to the information, preparations were going on to bury the deceased by digging a grave for the second time in the government school premises of Girwar. On 14-15 August, a government holiday, a grave was dug here and a person from the village was cremated. The stone was also placed properly on the grave. Now Friday 15th November was also a holiday and graves were being dug in the school premises. If information was not received on time, people would have completed the burial process and another grave would have been prepared in the school premises.
It is the administration’s mistake, notices have been issued
While giving information to Navbharat Times, MP Child Protection Rights Commission member Omkar Singh said that the work of burying dead bodies was going on in Girwar for the second time in about 3 months. Friday was a holiday, even in the month of August the body was buried on a holiday. This is wrong. The administration had to go to the spot and see, this had to be stopped. Had it been stopped at that time, this situation would not have happened now. In the matter, the Commission has issued a notice to the concerned and sought their reply.
