‘Meri Saheli Operation’ is being run by the Railway Department for women passengers in stations and trains in Madhya Pradesh. The objective of this campaign from Railways is to provide better facilities and assistance to women passengers. Till now, Railways has helped 38 thousand 188 women passengers through Operation Meri Saheli. According to West Central Railway Bhopal Public Relations Officer, the Railway Force has initiated Operation Meri Saheli to ensure the safety of women passengers.
The objective of this operation is to provide safe traveling experience to women passengers and protect them from any kind of trouble. Under this campaign, the Railway Protection Force has also made many special arrangements, so that women passengers do not feel uncomfortable in any way during the journey. Apart from this, RPF has also given information about safety measures and awareness to the women passengers, so that they do not face any kind of trouble.
Help to 38 thousand women passengers
Women passengers are continuously being made aware through Operation Meri Saheli campaign. Any woman can take part in this campaign to avoid any crisis. This is the reason that through this campaign, women passengers have become aware and till now my friend has provided assistance to 38 thousand 118 women passengers for safe travel.
‘Meri Saheli Operation’ is helpful
Special security arrangements- Special security arrangements have been provided to women passengers in railway stations and trains. Women RPF personnel have also been deployed at railway stations for women passengers and women guards have been arranged in trains.
Awareness and training- Women passengers are being informed about all aspects related to safety. Apart from this, women RPF personnel are being given information about all aspects of security, such as theft, molestation and how to get help in case of emergency.
Immediate resolution and assistance – Women passengers are ensured immediate and quick resolution in case of any problem. RPF has also issued a special number which is available 24 hours to help the passengers, so that any passenger in case of any kind of trouble can seek assistance on the helpline number.
Emergency Contact- RPF has also issued a toll free number for women passengers. In which passengers can contact immediately in case of any kind of emergency.
Informing the family – Women travelers are also advised in this campaign that during any journey, the travel information should be shared with the family member also, so that in case of unexpected situation, the family members can be informed.
RPF’s appeal
Railway Protection Force has appealed to the women passengers to always be alert for their safety and in case of any problem, contact the RPF immediately. By making proper use of RPF’s special helpline and security measures, women passengers should secure their journey and do not lose their confidence in any kind of situation.
