NASA is also in tension regarding the International Space Station (ISS). Slight leakage was going on in the ISS for the last five years. However, it has now been revealed that there is a leakage problem at at least 50 places. Apart from this, cracks are also appearing in the ISS. An investigation report by NASA was leaked which revealed that the ISS is in danger. Besides, the lives of the astronauts here including Sunita Williams are also at risk.

Russia has also claimed micro vibrations in a lab revolving around the Earth. NASA says that a large amount of air is coming out from the space station, which is an alarm bell. However, efforts are being made to save people’s lives and find a solution. According to the information, there is a leakage problem in ISS for the last five years.

The first leak started from the Yavezda module present in the space station, which is a tunnel leading to the docking port. The control of this part is in the hands of Russia. However, there is no consensus yet between NASA and the Russian agency Roscomos on what is the real reason for this problem. According to CNN, NASA astronaut Bob Cabana said that the space agency has expressed concern about this leakage.

Cabana said that running an operation to stop leakage may provide relief for some time but it is not a permanent solution. America says it is not safe. The leakage was first detected in 2019. After this, from April 2024, air started leaking at the rate of 1.7 kg daily. Normally seven to 10 astronauts stay in the ISS. Russian engineers have talked about micro vibration. NASA has taken some steps to avert this danger. Apart from this, the astronauts present here have also been advised to take extra precautions.
