Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that the immortal works of the great poet Kalidas, rich in amazing talent, are a unique example of the unbreakable relationship between man and nature. The works of the great poet are an invaluable cultural heritage of the country. Madhya Pradesh by dignified organization of All India Kalidas Festival. The government is doing a commendable job of saving and preserving our culture and heritage. The works of great poet Kalidas will always inspire our life values. Vice President Dhankar was addressing as the chief guest after inaugurating the All India Kalidas Festival in Ujjain on Tuesday.

Vice President Dhankar inaugurated the 66th grand All India Kalidas Samaroh with dignity in the presence of scholars. Governor Mangubhai Patel presided over the function. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had a dignified presence in the ceremony. On this occasion, Swami Govinddev Giriji Maharaj, Treasurer of Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya, was present as Saraswat guest. MP Anil Firojia, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge) Gautam Tetwal were also present on the stage.

Vice President Dhankhar said that the immortal works of great poet Kalidas wonderfully display human emotions and are always a source of inspiration for human values. A wonderful and unbreakable relationship between humans and nature can be seen in the works of the great poet Kalidas. The great poet Kalidas has given the message of environmental protection in his works which is always relevant. We have to save our earth by taking inspiration from his classic works like Meghdootam. Serious efforts will have to be made towards environment protection and climate protection, because there is no other earth available to live on.

Appreciating the event, Vice President Dhankhar said that the All India Kalidas Festival is a symbol of our cultural heritage. Madhya Pradesh Government and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav deserve gratitude for organizing this dignified event. The state government is making significant contribution in the preservation of art, literature and culture.

Calling for saving the cultural heritage of the country, the Vice President said that we will always have to preserve our cultural heritage and heritage. The cultural heritage of the country is very ancient, the roots of our culture are very deep which tells the purpose of life. Emphasizing on family management in his address, the Vice President said that only by paying attention to family management, the nation will always remain in our mind and heart. We must always be serious about the character and moral development of our children. Our children should become good citizens and discharge their duties fully along with nation building. We all have to discharge our civic responsibilities together. Indianness is our identity, the nation is supreme, for this every citizen will have to sacrifice himself while discharging his civic duties. Referring to women empowerment, the Vice President said that the works of great poet Kalidas are an important example of women empowerment. His work Abhijnana Shakuntalam can be seen as a reference.

Vice President Dhankhar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today every person in the country has an opportunity to showcase his talent. The development of technology in the country is surprising the whole world. “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign has been launched by the Prime Minister for environmental protection. This campaign will bring the same revolution as has happened in the field of cleanliness. In the coming year 2047, our India will become the leader of the world.

Congratulating the talents who were awarded the All India Kalidas Award in the programme, the Vice President said that these talented individuals are doing an excellent job of preserving and showcasing the best elements of our culture. Highlighting the mythological, spiritual and religious importance of Avantika city, the Vice President said that Lord Krishna received education in Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain. Here Kalidas and Bhrithhari got the light of knowledge. Ujjain is a perfect example of the world famous justice of Emperor Vikramaditya. The Vice President said that he himself is blessed to come to Ujjain. We will cherish the wonderful experience gained from here throughout our life, we have got a new energy from here.

Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Vice President Dhankhar is heartily welcomed in Ujjain, the center of spiritual consciousness. His presence has given more grandeur to the event. The Governor said that through the All India Kalidas Festival, a commendable effort is being made to present the great creations and cultural heritage of the great poet Kalidas on the world stage.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that All India Kalidas Samaroh has been organized in Ujjain as an important and glorious tradition. Today, the talents from various fields who have been honored in this ceremony deserve congratulations. The Vice President is heartily welcomed and congratulated on his arrival in Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the city of Ujjaini of great poet Kalidas and Vikramaditya has always existed in every period and era. After the virtues and fruits of many births, we have got the honor of coming here and spending some time. The Vice President has added to the glory of the event by inaugurating the All India Kalidas Celebration today. It is the good fortune of all of us that Ujjain always gets the opportunity to organize this function. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes for the successful organization of the function.

In his address at the function, Swami Govinddev Giri, while describing the personality and work of the great poet Kalidas, said that there cannot be any other poet in the world who can be compared with the great poet Kalidas, Kalidas is amazing and unique. While describing the various creations of Kalidas in his address, Swamiji described the literature written by the great poet as invaluable.

Vice President Dhankhar started the function by lighting the lamp and garlanding the portrait of great poet Kalidas. The national anthem was also played in the ceremony. The Vice President was welcomed with flowers by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. A memento was also presented to the Vice President in the program. The ceremony started with Saraswati Vandana. The program was conducted by Suvrinda Ajmera.

Celebrities honored with Rashtriya Kalidas Award

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar honored the personalities who contributed in various fields with Rashtriya Kalidas Samman decoration in the ceremony. In the field of classical music, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar Pune, Dr. Sandhya Poorecha Mumbai for the year 2022 and Pt. Arvind Parikh Mumbai were honored for the year 2023. Rupankar Arts PR for the year 2022 Daroch New Delhi, Raghupati Bhatt Mysore for Theater Arts 2023, Bhanu Bharti Ajmer for Theater 2022, Rudraprasad Sengupta Kolkata for Theater 2023. Guru Kalavati Devi Manipur was honored for classical dance. Apart from this, Acharya Mithila Prasad Tripathi of Indore was awarded the National Kalidas Best Work Decoration and Acharya Balkrishna Sharma of Gwalior was honored with the Regional Bhoj Best Work Decoration.

Vice President releases texts/publications of the Academy

Vice President Dhankhar released ten texts/publications published by Kalidas Academy Ujjain at the function. These include Grammar Theory Komudi, Noun Definition Case, Sridhar Bhaskar Varnekar Virachittam Kalidas Rahasyam (Khand Kavyam), Hariramchandra Diwekar Virchit Kalidas Mahotsham, Vegetation in Kalidas Literature, Piyush Vardhini Kshipra Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, Vrittant (Magazine), National Painting and Sculpture Art Exhibition. (Catalog) 2023, Best Masterpiece Decoration, Brochure of Programs and National Painting and Sculpture Art Exhibition Catalog 2024 included. The chief editor of all the texts and publications is Dr. Govind Gandhe, director of Kalidas Sanskrit Academy.
