Preparations are being made to show domestic and foreign tourists something unseen in Madhya Pradesh, the heart of the country. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has identified 50 such places full of historical and natural beauty which can prove to be new attractions for tourists. These sites are now being developed.
Tourism Department officials say that most of the non-traditional tourist destinations to be developed are around the major tourist destinations. However, due to lack of facilities and lack of information, tourists do not go there.
The new sites that have been identified include Raneh Waterfall near Khajuraho, Ashapuri Temple Group near Bhojpur, Tamiya and Devgarh near Pachmarhi, Chaturbhuj Nala near Gandhi Sagar.
Domestic tourists expected to increase
To give some new experience to the tourists, such places have also been selected around the big cities of the state. Facilities for tourists have been increased in Kharigaon, Kekariya, Jagdishpur in Bhopal, Madan Mahal in Jabalpur and places on the banks of Narmada, Mitawali-Padawali temples in Gwalior, Chausath Yogini temple and Singrampur (reigning center of Rani Durgavati and Gond kings) in Damoh. Have to go. Let us tell you, 2.5 to 3 crore tourists come to Madhya Pradesh every year. Domestic tourists are expected to increase with the addition of new attractions.
