The police team reached the spot and after starting the investigation, CCTV cameras were seen in which a thief, wearing a mask on his face, had entered the medical store with a torch. He opened the drawer of the counter inside the medical store and started searching. And stole Rs 1.25 lakh kept inside.
Cash amounting to Rs 1.25 lakh kept in the wallet of Gopal Medical Store located in front of Police Control Room, Janjgir, has been stolen. A video of a masked thief committing theft has surfaced. The incident took place in City Kotwali police station area.
Sharad Gopal, director of Gopal Medical located on Vivekananda Marg, said that he closed the medical store at around 9.30 pm on Sunday night and went home. Had gone out to buy vegetables at around eight in the morning on Monday. Meanwhile, it was noticed that the lock of the shutter of the medical store was broken and had been lifted up to some extent. Police have registered a case against an unknown thief in the City Kotwali police station and are searching for the thief on the basis of CCTV cameras.
Accused of raping a minor arrested
The accused, who raped a minor on the pretext of marriage, has been arrested by the police and sent to jail on judicial remand. In this case, the victim studying in class 12th had lodged a complaint in the police station along with her relatives.
On August 27, while going to school at 9:30 in the morning, between Khaira and Paterapali, Anil Kumar’s father Santosh Kumar came to the victim, on the pretext of marriage, forced the victim on his motorcycle and took her to Champa railway station, from there she took her in a train to Uslapur. From Bilaspur he boarded the Jammu Tawi train and took him to Katra.
There, after making a Juggi in the brick kiln of Rewari, he kept the victim with himself and raped the victim by forcefully putting vermilion on her forehead. After continuously raping her for a month, he brought the victim to her home village Paterapali on 25th September and kept her in the room of his house and kept raping her continuously.
After that, on November 6 at 12 noon, Anil Kanwar beat the victim with his hand and fist and threw her out of his house. The victim informed this to her parents and uncle, on whose report a crime under section 64(1) BNS 4,6 POCSO Act was registered in Nagarda police station and taken up for investigation.
Due to sufficient evidence being found against the accused under section 115, he was arrested on November 10 and sent on judicial remand. In the said action, police station in-charge inspector Gagan Bajpai, assistant sub-inspector HN Tamrakar, PR Bindu Raj, constable Ghanshyam Yadav, Khagesh Sahu, Anita Kanwar had commendable contribution.
